Bayview Hotel Director blames 300,000 burglary for closure

One of the Directors of the Bayview Hotel in Killybegs has insisted the hotel is solvent and was closed due to an alleged robbery of cash and goods in excess of 300 thousand euro.
There were fears that the appointment of a receiver was imminent after the guest were moved from the hotel last night and staff told that the hotel was closing.
However locally based Director, Bernie O’Callaghan says he was completely unaware of the movement of hotel guests and the information given to staff by another Director.
He says the matter is now with the Gardai and hopes the hotel will re-open soon:
