Strabane District Council has adopted its rate for the year, coming in with the lowest rate set in Northern Ireland
The rate is 1.79% than last year.
All parties have welcomed the cut which will offset to some extent an expected rise in the regional rate which is set in Belfast.
Ulster Unionist Cllr Derek Hussey says despite the cut, services currently provided will be maintained and hopefully imporoved
