Derry City lost out in Friday’s north west derby to Sligo Rovers in a dramatic finish at the Brandywell. Rovers Aaron Green scored two minutes from the end of the game to give Sligo the win in front of  almost 4000 spectators. New signing Eamon Zayed missed two chances to give Derry the lead, one of those from the penalty spot with Brendan Clarke pulling of the save. Derry’s next game is away to UCD.

Elsewhere in the Premier Division UCD beat Drogheda 1-0 on Friday night. The games only goal was scored by Letterkenny’s Cillian Morrison in the 80th minute.
