Councils to apply for “ghost estate” funding

The government has told local authorities in Donegal to begin the categorisation of so called ghost estates in the county.
The Department of the Environment is making 5 million euro available to councils across the country to deal with unfinished estates.
The request for detailed reports was received by county and town councils yesterday, and officials are now beginning to draw the information together.
County Manager Seamus Neeley says given that the funding is limited, the government is putting an emphasis on safety………….
