Donegal’s Leo McLoone will undergo surgery on Wednesday in Beacon Hospital Dublin. The county centre back broke and dislocated his ankle in a club game on Sunday. The injury could rule him out for the remainder of the 2011 season. The news will come as a blow to Donegal manager Jim McGuinness as he was one of the leading performers for the county this season so far. Donegal play Antrim in the Ulster Championship in May but it could be later in the summer before McLoone is fit to resume. Depending on his recovery the Noamh Conaill lad could be out for the entire campaign.
