Anger as Nationalist songs are played over shopping centre’s PA system

There is anger in Derry over claims that nationalist songs were played over the PA system at Foyleside Shopping Centre on St Patrick’s Day.
It is has been claimed the  Soldier’s Song and the Fields of Athenry were played over the speaker system at the centre during the course of the day.
SDLP Derry City councillor Shaun Carr says he has been contacted by a number of people from the Fountain area of the town who conveyed their anger at this.
He believes city centre spaces and areas used by all sections of the community should be free from controversy:
