Man shot and injured in Derry

A man has been shot close to Derry city centre.
It happened in Ewing Street, in the Bishop Street area, at around 10pm last evening.
He’s said to be in a stable condition in hospital.
Witnesses say the man suffered gunshot wounds to his legs and arm with bullet holes in a car where the shooting happened.
Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
