All GAA matches – scheduled to take place in Co. Derry this weekend have been cancelled – as a mark of respect to a referee, who died at a game last night.
Martin Mulholland – who was in his fifties – collapsing during the quarter-final of the senior championship between Kevin Lynch’s, Dungiven, and St Colm’s, Ballinascreen in Swatragh.
Efforts to revive him failed.
The county GAA spokesperson, Chris McCann, says Mr Mulholland was very well-respected figure in the GAA, and is extending the association’s condolences to his family………
