The Minister for Education has now been called in to resolve the issue surrounding the new Finn Valley College.
The project has been dogged by controversy over safe access for students and whether it will or will not open on time.
Now local Councillor Cora Harvey has written to the Minister for Education, Ruairi Quinn requesting that he urgently intervene in the situation of the Finn Valley College.
The Councillor says the current situation where the electrical sub contractor has not been paid for work carried out in the College is unacceptable and must be resolved.
Councillor Harvey says it is imperative that the sub contractor gets paid and that no other Sub- Contractor is appointed in an underhand way.
