Man charged in connection with Letterkenny stabbing back in court today

There was tight security at Letterkenny Courthouse this morning as a man appeared in connection with the stabbing of four people including a Garda outside a local nightclub.
46-year-old John Boyle was charged with four different counts of assault causing harm. He was also charged with the illegal possession of a knife.
The attack happened outside Vodoo Nightclub on Lower Main Street around 1am on August 14th last.
As a result of the attack a Garda Sergeant and three nightclub doormen were stabbed and to recieve treatment at Letterkenny General Hospital.
The court was told today that a file on the matter is almost completed.
Boyle will appear again before Letterkenny Court on November 17th.
