Revenue Commissioners accepted 6 settlements totalling €950,000 euro in Donegal

The Revenue Commissioners accepted 114 settlements between April and June of this year totalling over 26 million euro.
68 were for amounts of more than 100 thousand euro.
11 of these exceeded half a million and three of those 11 were worth more than a million.
In Donegal there where 6 settlements totalling almost 950 thousand euro.
The largest settlement made in Donegal was by William Cunningham, a laundrette owner from Bridge Street, Killybegs – settle for a total of 262 thousand euro – 176 thousand of which was made up of interest and penalties.
James O’Doherty, a publican on Main Street, Bundoran settled for 178 thousand euro as it relates under-declaration of income tax and VAT amongst other things.
Michael Gallen, a commission agent from Ballybofey settle with revenue for 171 thousand euro, while Daniel Sweeney – a company Director from The Manse, Dunfanaghey settled for 166 thousand euro. That money was paid in relation to the under-declaration of Capital Gains Tax and a Revenue Audit Case.
The only other settlement over 100 thousand euro was made by Kilmac Form Work LTD, a building contractors based at Ballyherrin, Kilmacrennen for 107 thousand.
Kevin Lafferty, a tree planing / forestry operative from Mounthall Cottage, Crossroads, Killygordan settle for almost 53 thousand euro.
