Raphoe’s Chloe and Sam Magee have taken a step closer towards qualification for next year’s Olympics in London. The Donegal pairing took victory in the mixed doubles on Sunday at the Norwegian Open in Oslo. In the Final the Irish brother and sister duo beat a Danish pair 21-17 and 21-16. In the Ladies Single’s competition Chloe reached the final, but the number 2 seed from Bulgaria beat Chloe in straight sets 21-19 21-14 to take the title. This was another excellent result for Chloe with more valuable points towards her Olympic campaign in the lead up to the Irish International in December. A day of mixed feelings for the Magee family but with qualification for London 2012 on the horizon it certainly was a good weekend. Chloe joined Myles Gallagher on Sunday Sport where first of all she spoke on her ladies singles defeat.
