After not featuring for Donegal since the turn of the year, Michael Murphy returned to football at the weekend helping DCU win the Sigerson Cup. The Glenswilly man who had been troubled by a groin injury was one of four Donegal men involved in the colleges squad which beat NUI Maynooth 2-17 to 0-7 in Saturday’s final in Galway. The other Donegal players were Michael Boyle in goals, Anton Mc Fadden and Martin Mc Elhinney. The return of the Donegal Captain will be a major boost to Jim Mc Guinness who’s side this weekend take on Cork in the National Football League in Ballybofey.
Michael Murphy spoke with Coilin Duffy after Saturday’s win.
