Human remains found in the River Foyle near Lifford

Human remains have been recovered from the River Foyle this morning.
Gardai have confirmed the remains were found at Islandmore, just before the Red Bridge at Porthall in Lifford
The remains are being removed for DNA analysis.  Gardai say the remains may be those of David Colhoun who’s been missing since last May, but it’s too early to draw any conclusions at present.
The remains were found at 9 o’clock this morning by workers removing sand from the river.  Superintendent Vincent O’Brien is at the scene, from where he spoke this morning to Highland Radio’s Shaun Doherty…..
