Donegal County Council are to officially honour the memory of Garda Gary McLoughlin, who was killed in the line of duty three years ago.
24-year-old Garda McLoughlin was killed when he was struck by a car in Burt.
Donegal County Council is to hold a special reception at the County House in Lifford on the 4th of May.
It follows a motion by Cllr Jack Murray last July calling for a proper memorial service for Garda McLaughlin.
Cllr Murray said it’s a fitting tribute, and members of the late Gardas family will attend..
