Donegal Co Council considered €116 million capital programme

Donegal County Council considered a 116 million euro Capital Programme yesterday, but Councillors expressed concern at the capital projects in their electoral areas that did not appear on the list.
Just over 116 million euro will be spend on roads, sewerage, water and other major works between now and 2014.
County Manager Seamus Neely has presented a draft plan, proposing spending just over 50 million euro on projects in the first year. More detailed proposals for the second and third years will be brought forward when budgets are confirmed, he said.
Councilors will discuss additional electoral capital priorities at the Councils regular May meeting.
Mayor Cllr Noel Mc Bride says the issue requires a lot of consideration……….
