DLDC to deliver Community Development Programme in Gaeltacht

It’s been confirmed that DLDC, the Donegal Local Development Company has been asked to deliver the Local and Community Development Programme in the Donegal gaeltacht this year.
This would have been one of the functions carried out by MFG, which went into administration last September, and still hasn’t been replaced.
DLDC says it has developed considerable expertise and earned a very good reputation delivering the LCDP in East and South Donegal, and now it wants to being those qualities to the west of the county, including Gaeltacht areas.
The programme is designed to engage  with local people and communities, promoting awareness and increasing access to and participation in local services, and helping people access education and cultural activities.
It also seeks to provide tailored assistance for the long term unemployed and explore self-employment opportunities.
Application forms for the grants can be accessed online through the website dldc.org, or through their office at Áislann Gaoth Dobhair on the business park in Derrybeg.
Forms are also available at the offices in Killybegs, Donegal Town and Letterkenny.
The latest date for the receipt of applications is Monday June 11th.
