Mc Hugh wants more cross border cooperation on education

Donegal Deputy Joe McHugh has called for a more co-ordinated approach between authorities North and South in planning for future educational needs.
Deputy McHugh says that with changing populations and school closures, the latter most notably in the North, more students living close to the border may be sent to school in the neighbouring jurisdiction.
As it relates to third level education, Deputy McHugh says that only 3% of students in the South of Ireland come from the North while the figure drops to 1% when the situation is reversed.
Deputy McHugh says more must be done to increase co-operation…………..
