Preparations for Euro 2012 continue today as the Republic of Ireland take on a Tuscan selection in Pistoia this evening.
The Irish squad held their first full training session at their new base in Montecatini in Italy yesterday afternoon. Lifford’s Shay Given along with John O’Shea trained separately from the rest of the squad as they continued their recovery from injury.
Given was able to carry-out some work with goalkeeper coach Alan Kelly as he stepped up his return from a knee injury, while O’Shea also received some treatment on his ankle injury.
Trapattoni says he expects both players could be fit in the coming days.
