Letters will be sent out to those who have not paid household charge within weeks

The Minister for the Environment and Local Government says local authorities will be sending out letters to people who haven’t paid the household charge – within weeks.
Phil Hogan says 945 thousand homes have paid the 100 euro charge already.
That’s a 58 per cent compliance rate.
It’s reported that second home owners in arrears will be targeted first – but Minister Hogan says this is a matter for local authorities to decide:
