Man convicted of murdering his former lover in Portstewart laundrette

A man has been convicted of murdering his former lover at a launderette in Portstewart last year.
51 year old Marion Millican, a Coleraine born mother of four, was shot dead at her workplace on 11 March 2011.
49 year old Fred McClenaghan, from Broad Street in Magherafelt, had claimed that he accidentally shot her while attempting to kill himself in front of her.
After Mc Clenaghan was found guilty at Antrim Crown Court, Judge Corinne Philpott imposed a life sentence. A tariff will be set at a hearing in September.
