Donegal Deputy Pearse Doherty has begun his visit to Australia during which he will highlight the need for Irish workers safety to be ensured and for Irish people there to be entitled to vote on Irish affairs
Deputy Doherty will visit Perth, Sydney, Canberra and Melbourne, speaking to public meetings and engaging with local politicians, trade unionists and Irish organisations.
Speaking to Highland Radio News, Deputy Doherty says one of the key concerns is that Irish people now living and working in Australia are doing so in a safe enviroment:
