Taoiseach officially opens new science laboratories at LYIT

A suite of new science laboratories at the Letterkenny Institute of Technology was officially opened today by An Taoiseach Enda Kenny.
The new facility adds over 1,000 sq m of fully-equipped science laboratories with a total of 8 labs.  This represents an investment of almost €4 million from the Government and LYIT.
The need for the new laboratories is a result of the continued increase in student numbers at LYIT, 55% in the last 5 years, with currently over 3,000 people studying at the college.
