A North West MEP is warning that many young people are now using the internet to source synthetic drugs which were previously available in head shops.
Jim Higgins says a European Monitoring Centre for Drugs and Drug Addiction report which has just been completed shows that Irish young people aged 15-24 years are the highest users of such psychoactive substances in the EU.
Mr Higgins says this is a worrying development, particularly as there is no way od knowing what harmful substances could be contained in these products…………
