GAA – Positives From Donegal McKenna Cup Defeats

Donegal suffered their second defeat of this seasons Dr. Kenna Cup on Sunday losing 3-16 to 1-5 to Monaghan in Ballybofey.  As expected Jim Mc Guinness fielded an experimental side with the focus on having a look at the younger players coming through the ranks.
It took Donegal 28 minutes to register a score, with Adrian Hanlon bagging a goal. Monaghan were 0-07 to 1-01 ahead at the break and a Keith McEnaney goal within a minute of the resumption put more daylight between the sides. Further goals from Dermot Malone and Darren Hughes rounded off the rout.
