The threat of legal action remains against Donegal County Council over a decision to purchase a house in a rural area of Ballyshannon for a Traveller family.
At this week’s monthly meeting of the council, councillor Barry O’Neill said the decision goes against national policy and the Donegal County Development Plan.
That was a claim rejected by the county manager who did agree to review the issue.
Councillor O’Neill, who insists his objection is a planning issue, and not with the family to be housed, says that is not good enough………….
