Donegal North East Deputy Padraig Mac Lochlainn has been elected Chair of the Oireachtas Joint Committee on Public Service Oversight and Petitions, one of the new committees established by the [resent government.
He replaces his Sinn Fein colleague Peadar Tobin.
Speaking after his election, Deputy Mac Lochlainn said he expects the Committee will continue working across party lines to hold overnment departments and public bodies to account for the services they provide to the public.
He says he wants to lead the Committee in becoming a robust champion on behalf of citizens……….
