Doherty will not register septic tank as deadline approaches

A Donegal South-West Deputy has called on the Environment Minister to extend the registration deadline for septic tanks.
The deadline for registration is today and comes at a cost of 50 euro.
But Sinn Fein Deputy Pearse Doherty says the deadline should be extended until the 31st March.
He says he hasn’t registered, and won’t until the deadline is extended and registration fee is waived….

Environment Minister Phil Hogan says  he expects around three quarters of all septic tank owners to have registered by this evening’s deadline.
He said 68% of septic tank owners have already registered. The Donegal figure is significantly lower.
