People across the Strabane District are being warned to be on “high alert” with regards to possible oil-theft in their homes.
Last week a single mother of four had her oil tank drained of 500 litres at her Glenview Park home.
And when the mother refilled her tank with another 100 litres of oil it was drained once more two days later.
Strabane SDLP representative, Daniel McCrossan, who spoke to the woman, said she now cannot afford to refill her oil tank after the thefts….
