There were 20,905 people on the Live Register in Donegal at the end of January, unchanged from December, and down 662 on January 2012.
There were 960 people signing on the Live Register in Killybegs at the end of January, 25% down on the same period last year. Other falls were more modest, with 4,421 on the register in Buncrana, down 6%, and 2,144 in Dungloe, down 4.6%.
There were 1,628 signing on in Dunganaghy, down 2.3%, while Ballybofey and Ballyshannon were virtually unchanged at 2,673 and 1,592 respectively.
There was a 3.5% increase in Donegal Town with 1,482 on the register, while in Letterkenny, there were 6,005 signing on, down .3%.
