Workshops to explore protestant exodus from the cityside of Derry

A series of workshops exploring the exodus of protestants from the West Bank of the Foyle in the early years of the troubles is being run over the coming days on both sides of the river.
Author Jonathan Burgess has written a series of short scenes
which will be performed as part of ‘The Exile Project’, which is being run by the Church of Ireland Christ Church parish in Derry to discuss why so many protestants left the city centre, and what the consequences of that exodus have been.
Jonathan Burgess says members of all communities are being urged to take part in the workshops to explore what he says is a painful episode in the city’s history………….
