North West MEP Jim Higgins says Ireland’s payments from the Common Agricultural Policy must be maintained.
Mr Higgins was speaking ahead of today’s 2-day Summit in Brussels to conclude negotiations on the EU’s budget from 2014 to 2020.
Ireland relies heavily on the budget for agricultural payments to farmers, and Mr Higgins insists those payments must not be cut……….
