Electric car charging points welcomed in Strabane

Eight new charging points for electric cars have been erected in the Strabane District  despite evidence that they are a waste of money.
There are now over fifty electric car charging points in Northern Ireland. An electric car costs in the region of £25k and the British Government are giving a £5k grant to first time buyers.
In Derry, seven were erected last year, yet figures released from the Department of Regional Development in the North show that only one of the charging points have ever been used in the city to date.
