The Director of An Grianan Theatre in Letterkenny has confirmed there is an issue with the theatre’s roof which has resulted in leaks to the administrative office and one dressing room, but is stressing there is no health and safety issue at present.
Concerns had been expressed that the facility might have to close, but Patricia Mc Bride says there’s no question of that happening.
Administrative staff have relocated to the meeting room space in the down stairs area of the theatre, and one dressing room is closed.
The theatre is owned by Donegal County Council which has carried out an investigation of the problem, and is currently assessing a report which recommends how to proceed.
In the meantime, Patricia Mc Bride says it’s business as usual…………
