Woman found guilty of murdering her husband

A 40-year-old Dublin woman has been convicted of murdering her husband who she stabbed over 60 times.
Tanya Doyle has been jailed for life for killing 48-year-old Paul Byrne at their home in Pairc Gleann Trasna, Aylesbury in Tallaght, Dublin on September 4th, 2009.
It took the jury just over 6 hours to reach its verdict.
Paul Byrne was stabbed over 60 times by Doyle.
The jury rejected claims that Tanya Doyle suffered from a mental disorder and found her guilty. Paul Byrne made a 999 call on September 4, 2009 and told the operator his wife was trying to kill him.
Doyle showed no remorse when Mr Justice Garrett Sheehan delivered his sentence of life in jail.
