Woman dies in Cork Road Traffic Collision

A woman in her 20 shas been was killed and five other people injured when a car crashed into a metal electricity supply pole in Skibbereen in West Cork early this morning.
At least two other passengers are critically injured.
The driver of the car, a man in his 20s was arrested at the scene and has since been brought to Cork University Hospital.
The collision happened on the Skibbereen By-pass at around 1.45am when the car went out of control and collided with the pole.
The road was closed to allow a garda forensic crash investigator examine the scene while the car, a BMW will also be examined by a garda PSV inspector.
Gardai have appealed to anyone who witnessed the crash or travelled the road between 1am and 1.45am to contact them
