It’s anticipated that the first public consultation on the long awaited proposals to alleviate flooding in Raphoe will take place next month, with a plan expected to be on the table by January.
The issue has been a major point of discussion since several hundred thousand euro worth of damage was done in Raphoe by floods in 2006 and 2007.
Among those who have regularly raised the issue in the council chamber is Cllr Gerry Crawford, who says that after a very long wait, it seems progress is being made……..
