A newspaper article written last March about patients on the Good and New Ambulance bringing cancer patients from Donegal to Galway has gone viral online, picking up over 20,000 hits since last week and sparking a new wave of interest.
Eamon Mc Devitt of Good and New in Letterkenny says they have no idea what prompted this surge of renewed interest in the article “The Toughest Journey”, written by journalist Eoin Butler.
Speaking at the launch of a number of the group’s latest fundraising drive, he told Highland Radio News that they still depend 100% on public donations, and hope this renewed interest generates more support:
