Donegal County Council is stepping up its campaign of disconnecting non-domestic water customers who fail to pay their bills.
The council says it has initiated proceedings against a number of customers who have not responded, or made any meaningful attempt to address the arrears on their account.
Over the past two weeks, around 30 non domestic water supplies have been disconnected, and a number of accounts have been referred to a third party debt collection agency for collection.
Director of Finance Garry Martin says this is set to continue, and while the emphasis so far has been on Letterkenny and the Finn Valley, Inishowen and other areas are now coming under the spotlight……………
