Residents of a County Tyrone village are to hold a protest this weekend against proposals to build an anaerobic digester there.
Donegal-based firm Connective Energy Holdings have submitted an application for the waste management plant on the grounds of the former Herdman’s Mill site in Sion Mills.
The Sion Mills community group are to hold a white line picket protest in the village this Saturday from 10am until 3pm.
Spokesperson, Andy Patton says it’s vitally important that people attend……
Meanwhile, Aideen Leitch, who is also a spokesperson for the group, says there is no evidence that the plant would bring employment to the village…….
