Letterkeny’s Awear store closes as company goes into receivership

AwearThere is a threat to the future of the Awear store in Letterkenny after the company announced today it has gone into receivership.
The outlet in Letterkenny, along with the companies other stores across the country closed today.
Receiver, Ken Fennell of Kavanagh Fennell, has now been appointed to the A-wear chain of shops after the company failed to exit examinership.
The business employs a total of 358 staff across its locations and head office which is based in Dublin.
The company had blamed high rents and increased competition for its difficulties.
A decision will be made tomorrow as to which stores will remain open.
