Over 650 people are currently waiting for homes in Strabane, the highest number in five years.
Latest figures reveal a 37 per cent increase in the local Housing Executive branch waiting list.The rise is among the highest in the North.
SDLP councillor Patsy Kelly said the figures revealed the extent of Strabane’s housing problem and said it was time Stormont addressed the “housing crisis” locally.
