Police have come under attack in Derry after responding to reports of petrol bombs being thrown.
Police were responding to a report of petrol bombs being thrown from Nailors Row towards the Fountain Estate in Derry.
When they arrived at the scene, missiles were thrown at police vehicles and bins were set alight on the road.
Foyle MLA Pat Ramsey said: “This is reckless behaviour and those involved are only causing harm to their own community and creating more fear for people living there.
“There is a high volume of older people living in the area and it’s not fair they are subjected to this.
“I would urge parents to be vigilant and know the whereabouts of their children.”
