Donegal Deputy Thomas Pringle is amongst a group of eight Independent TDs who say Alan Shatter’s position as Justice Minister is no longer tenable.
The group also includes Shane Ross, Mattie McGrath, Catherine Murphy, John Halligan and Roisin Shortall.
They say Minister Shatter’s political judgment has been called into question recently.
