A Donegal TD has warned that if Gardai in Donegal are not given extra resources then people might start taking the law into their own hands.
There has been a spate of break-ins in Donegal in recent months.
A number of calls have been made for the Justice Minister to increase Garda resources here, but local senior gardai back the minister’s claim that there are sufficient policing resources in Donegal.
Deputy Padraig MacLochlainn says if these calls keep being ignored, then people could turn to vigilantism:
