Three winners will be announced tonight at the presentation of the DLDC Wild Geese Irish Whiskey Enterprise Awards.
Twelve business have been shortlisted for the awards, and all have been set up by people who were out of work or made redundant.
The businesses range from a company in Annagry making flight simulators to a neuromuscular therapy centre in Letterkenny.
The awards ceremony is in the Central Hotel in Donegal Town. The three winners each get a cheque for 500 euro and go forward to the regional finals in Cavan in June.
