The GAA’s top referees have been summoned to attend an emergency meeting at Croke Park tonight.
Chairman of the National Referees’ Association, Pat McEnaney has admitted that some of the umpiring decisions haven’t been up to the standard that is required.
As part of the meeting, the 16-strong elite referees panel will be briefed again on the proper usage of the black-card and advantage rules after a series of high-profile mistakes during the opening two weekends of the Football Championship.
