New figures from the Department of Social Protection have revealed the number of people in Donegal who received the State’s main child-related payments during 2025.
The figures are broken down by county and cover the full calendar year.
In Donegal, 6,546 people received the Back to School Clothing and Footwear Allowance, supporting more than 11,100 children.
There were also 116 Back to Work Family Dividends paid in the county.
Child Benefit was paid to 21,955 recipients, benefiting more than 41,000 children.
The Department also made 76 Contributory Guardian’s Payments and 35 Non-Contributory Guardian’s Payments.
And 4,838 Working Family Payments were made to families in Donegal during 2025.
