Derry’s Duffy makes his Senior Irish debut

Derry’s Shane Duffy claimed his first Irish cap last night in Ireland’s 1-1 draw with Costa Rica.
Martin O’ Neill fielded a radically changed starting 11 from the team that started against Italy in Craven Cottage last week which saw Duffy play the entire game.
The 22-year-old defender, whose father Brian is from Letterkenny, has spent the majority of the 2013/14 campaign on loan at Championship side Yeovil Town.
Duffy is contracted with Everton until 2015.
