A young Donegal man is battling for his life after he was involved in a serious accident while on holidays in Spain.
19-year-old Oisin Merritt, a talented young footballer who plays with Finn Harps Reserves, is from Stranorlar.
19-year-old Oisin Merrit was holidaying with a group of his friends in Santa Ponsa, Mallorca when the incident occurred.
It’s understood he may have fallen.
It is believed the Finn Harps player sustained a fractured skull as a result of the accident, and has been placed in an induced coma.
He had been on a weeks holiday with a group of friends and was due to return home yesterday.
His condition has been described as ‘critical’ and his family have flown out to Spain to be with him.
His family and friends are distraught, and are struggling to come to terms with what has happened.
The former St Columba’s College pupil is an extremely popular young man in the Twin Towns and had celebrated his birthday just three weeks ago.
